XCOM: Enemy Unknown available for pre-load on Steam
it’s available for pre-load on Steam immediately, so if you’ve already purchased it, you’re able to load the sport for your rig early and have the ability to play right when the clock strikes midnight. What’s more exciting than that?
How about this: pre-ordering the sport through Steam nets you some very attractive pre-order bonuses. The 1st bonus is the Elite Soldier Pack, which does not appear greater than a hard and fast of skins in your foot soldiers. The second one bonus is a pack of 3 XCOM-themed items to be used in Team Fortress 2, that’s nice if not unexpected because you’re pre-ordering through Steam. While those two packs aren’t much to put in writing home about, the third bonus is – a free copy of Civilization V which, despite what a handful of very loud dissenters say, is a very good game.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is something of a response to the fan outcry over XCOM, that is an incoming tactical FPS reboot of the series. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a tactical turn-based strategy game, a lot more akin to the XCOM games of years past, and it’s safe to assert that fan enthusiasm is running high. There seems to be good reason behind that excitement too, as early reviews of the sport are excellent. XCOM: Enemy Unknown currently boasts a 91 out of 100 on Metacritic, so if you’d like a game that stays true to the franchise, it appears like Enemy Unknown is it.
As for the opposite upcoming XCOM game, it still doesn’t have a release date. XCOM have been in development since 2006, and though 2K was showing it off back in 2010, it has been delayed numerous times. With the intention to play a new XCOM title, it seems like XCOM: Enemy Unknown is your only choice at the moment, though we doubt many die-hard series fans might be complaining about that.
