French courts slaps Google with $660,000 fine for offering free map services

A French court has fined Google in a single must be should be probably the most idiotic proceedings I’ve ever heard of. The complaint was brought against Google by French company called Bottin Cartographes, who offers mapping services to businesses at a worth. Google operates its Google Maps service in France offering similar mapping services for free. The French mapping company didn’t appreciate the truth that Google is offering an analogous product at no charge. The corporate filed suit in French court claiming that Google is abusing its dominant position out there by offering Google Maps without cost. In keeping with reports, the French court actually upheld the complaint against Google and fined Google $660,000 for offering free Maps.
