Mac OS X – Private Browsing in Safari

Private Browsing in Mac Safari browser allows you to browse without storing personal data. Tips By default, when you are browsing the Internet using Safari, the application will store the data your browsing activity. Safari will remember the website pages you have visited, files you have downloaded, or search keywords that you use.

Although this feature can help you when browsing, you may not want to trace the history recorded in the browser application. Safari provides a feature that can help you. Before you are browsing, you can click on the Safari menu and select “Private Browsing“. A pop-up warning will appear, click “OK“. Now, Safari will not save data and your personal information.

Private Browsing feature does not prevent the Safari collect cookies provided by certain websites. However, you can delete existing cookies after you browse by selecting the option “Reset Safari” in the Safari menu at the top.
